Large Scale Projection Specialists One 80 Degrees produced an exhilarating tribute to Edweard Muybridge,
(The British Grandfather of Film) with monumental images projected onto The Guildhall at Kingston Upon Thames.

Undeterred by the atrocious weather excited crowds massed around the Guildhall. Spellbound children and adults watched in amazement as 50ft high moving images raced around the circular building accompanied by a specially commissioned vibrant musical soundtrack.

By using three massive R18 video projectors, One 80 Degrees covered the whole of the frontage of the imposing Guildhall offices, transforming them into three giant movie screens and replicating Muybridges' famous "Zoopraxiscope" the circular equipment he used to animate film and prove that animals lift all four feet off the ground when running - finally settling a debate that had raged for centuries!

The films were produced from the original glass plates from the Muybridge Archive and were edited together with a series of inspirational animations conceived by Kingston University post graduate students, together with footage of contemporary dance artiste Bode Lawler, who's original performance captivated the audience as it was projected onto the building at monumental scale.
